St. Mary's Cockerton School works with parents, carers and other professionals in order to keep all our children safe. Full details about how we do this are contained in our school policies, which are available on our policies page. We encourage anyone to come into school and speak to a member of staff anytime you have any concerns or worries!
If you have any concerns about the well-being, protection or safety of a child and would like to discuss it with someone in school we will make sure that concerns and referrals are handled sensitively, professionally and in ways that support the needs of the child.
EXTREMISM AND RADICALISATION
Schools have a vital role to play in protecting pupils from the risks of extremism and radicalisation, a role which is underpinned by the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 “to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism”.
