Dear Parents & Carers,
We will be hosting another World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September 2016, to raise money for the incredible charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
When & Where
Throughout the school day classes from Reception up to Class 6 will have the opportunity to buy cakes and make their donation.
From 3pm onwards, we will be serving coffee, tea and cakes in the dining hall. This ties in nicely with our Gold Book assembly and everybody is welcome. Last year, we had a flurry at the school gates at home time, however this year, we will remain in the dining hall. Parents, pupils, family and friends are welcome.
All we ask is that you make a small donation to help raise as much money as we possibly can, for a cause very close to our hearts. A little bit from a lot of people makes a BIG difference! We raised a huge total of £296.76 last year and I’m hoping we can do as well again, if not, beat it!
Whip up some tasty treats!
We need your help! Children, mums and dads, brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles, grandmas and granddads – We need you! Cakes, biscuits, scones and tasty treats can be donated to school on Thursday 29th September at home time or on the morning of Friday 30th September. Make sure you bring them along in a named tin/bag. Please make sure any home-made cakes and treats do not contain nuts. If any donations are shop bought, please ensure they are in their original packaging.
How will we help?
Last year, schools just like ours held coffee mornings all over the country and managed to raise a whopping £25 million! Every cake shared helps to support people and their families affected by cancer. Together, we can make sure that no one faces cancer alone.
There will also be a ‘Guess the name of the Bear’ raffle… He’s gorgeous and is up for grabs!
Thank you so much for your support with this event.
